The Parish Pastoral Council of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville, Tennessee represents the parish community in offering advice and counsel to the Pastor on all matters affecting the life and ministries of the parish community.
As part of their leadership role in the Parish Council, the members accept a Committee Chair position to facilitate the flow of information from the various ministries to the Council. These Committees of the Parish Pastoral Council are responsible for identifying the needs of the parish, leading the parish in developing and accepting the mission of Christ given to the Church, encouraging parishioners to support parish ministries, and planning for the parish’s future. Committee Chairs present a report at every Council meeting on the activities of the ministries as represented by their committees.
The Standing Committees of the St. Thomas Aquinas Council are:
Faith Formation
Outreach
Liturgy
Parish Life
Administration and Building and Grounds. This committee falls under the supervision of the Finance Committee.

Communication
Safety & Security
Hispanic Ministries
